Local family man Tony Ellis has worked within the motor vehicle industry since leaving school in 1987. Gaining his City & Guilds qualifications in motor vehicle engineering at Aylesbury College alongside working in a local family run garage, this has led to over 30 years of working within this industry. Over this time, Tony has built up an expansive knowledge and continues to be well respected within the motor vehicle industry around Buckinghamshire and surrounding areas.

In 1997, though Tony’s journey continued in the vehicle servicing industry, Tony began focusing on the specialist area of the automatic gearbox industry. This is where Tony gained more in depth specialist knowledge and the appreciation and understanding of running a business. So, in 2015 he felt it was the right time to make the move and set up his own family run business. AJ Automatics was established.

Opening his own business, an established loyal, repeat customer base has grown from strength to strength and in October 2019, Tony decided to expand his business and move to new premises in the village of Bierton in Buckinghamshire. Tony feels he has “come home” as this is where he was born and bred!

The new premises has enabled AJ Automatics to expand their services, offering all aspects of vehicle servicing, repairs, MOT’s on all makes and models of vehicles, manual and automatic, with the additional in-house automatic gearbox specialist. Offering a wider service to his current and potentially new customers. As a family run business, you can often catch Tony’s wife Jane, on reception greeting customers with a warm welcome.

AJ Automatics believe in offering the highest level of service on all work undertaken, however big or small fitting the highest quality parts. Even after so many years in this industry, Tony continues to take pride in his work, staying committed and honest, treating customers fairly and courteously.
